OUTREACH EMPHASIS FOR MAY

Our outreach emphasis for May will be for Golden Cross Sunday, which offers Christians an opportunity to help friends through emergency aid funds (60% is divided among the 14 districts of the Florida Conference), seed money grants (20% becomes seed money for new programs or existing programs that take an innovative new direction), and other health and wholeness ministries (20% is distributed to United Methodist related institutions in Florida for health and welfare needs).  Donations may be made any time during the month of May.

Your gift makes a world of difference.

Medicine for Guyana:

The 2008 mission team to Guyana needs over-the-counter pain medications to treat the many needs of the Amerindians who come to our clinics daily.  Please help!  Aspirin, Tyenol, Advil, or generic brands are all very helpful.  It is sad to come to the last day of our mission and not have enough pain medication to treat the patients who need help. The box for these donations is in the fellowship hall

Paul & Ruth Wagoner invite our church friends to attend the wedding of our Daughter Kelly, to Michael Winzins.  The ceremony will be held on May 17th at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary.

We would like to thank all those who participated in the Port Orange Relay for Life to make it a huge success.  From the sponsors to the ones who put change in the cans on Sunday morning, the team members and the walkers.  We raised $6,235.00.  Our goal was $5,000.  Thanks again and the team will see you again next year.
