DID YOU KNOW we have 2 Mission trips planned this year? This summer First UMC will send two mission teams into the world to show Christ’s love to others through their service.  Our youth will serve in Savannah Georgia the week of August 3^rd – 9^th.   The International Mission Team leaves June 14^th for service in Guyana. Please keep these teams in your prayers.

DID YOU KNOW the Communication Team held a brainstorming meeting on Tue. April 29^th?  Operation Brainstorm had over 60 people in attendance. A lot of good positive ideas were shared as well as a lot of FUN!

was named an Official Welcoming Congregation for the third year.

 This is awarded by the Igniting Ministry office of

United Methodist Communications.

“Welcoming Congregations” are a select group of United Methodist congregations nationwide that meets criteria including embracing newcomers and providing opportunities in discipleship. The recognition program is part of a larger effort launched in late 2000 by UMCom, the denomination’s communications agency, to use modern technology and the common language of television to spread the Good News of Christ to a world in need.
