“Empty Bowl” Event for the Benefit of HUM

December 4, 2009, Mainland High School, 6 pm to 8 pm

  A group of professional artisans have teamed up with Mainland and Spruce Creek high school teenagers to craft artistic ceramic bowls to promote local and world hunger awareness.

 or a $10 per person donation, guests will be able to choose a finished hand made bowl of their choice and be treated to a simple meal of soup, salad, bread and dessert which is symbolic of an old fashioned soup line. Guests will also be able to keep their bowls as a reminder of the hunger crisis in the local community as well the world.  Entertainment and a silent auction of donated works by well known artists will also be available.  

All proceeds will go to the HUM “Love Thy Neighbor” food drive. Please contact Jeff Follmer, (386) 322-6045, for tickets/further information to this unique humanitarian event.
