Together in Disaster
We want everyone here at
First Church to be part of “Together in
Disaster”, either by helping others or be
receiving help. We are looking for volunteers
to form a team to help others in disasters. The
Methodist Disaster Recovery Ministry provides
training for volunteer responders. We need
information for each family so that we can check
on everyone during and after disasters. We have
a mutual support phone tree, and we want to
include everyone. Please fill out the disaster
needs and resources survey forms that are
available on this website (or confirm the
information you gave us last year) and drop them
off in the box in the narthex or in the church
office. Even if you think you won’t need help
during disasters, please fill out the
questionnaires, so we’ll know that we don’t need
to be concerned. (We’re a church family and we
worry!) Also, you may want to assist.

Mission Daytona
The dates are June 22-26. There
is something for everyone to do, and we need
lots of people. We will eat breakfast at the
church, spend the day serving the community, and
come back to the church for dinner and
devotions. We will stay in our own homes at
night. The cost is $200. We do ask for a
commitment that each will participate each day
for all day. Here is the opportunity to go on a
mission trip and stay home at the same time.
